When the AXCEL Stabilizer Design Team decided to make their first stabilizer, they bought over $30,000 of vibration testing equipment and spent over a year testing every bar and every vibration dampener in the industry.
They were very impressed by some designs and disappointed in the marketing hype of other products.
They applied what they learned and added in their signature knowledge of materials and processes from our work in other industries to make a product that would beat every other bar in archery!
One of the most important innovations they brought to stabilizers was adding plant-based Flax materials to Ultra High Modulus Carbon. creating a patented Bio Composite Hybrid bar that was stronger and stiffer than normal carbon bars with better dampening properties!
This bio-composite had already been used by sporting goods manufacturers to make tennis rackets, bike frames, skis, and boards for its dampening properties with less weight.
But it has also been used to reduce weight in planes, trains, boats, and automobiles.
Flax composites result in stronger, lighter, and better products.
Their natural damping enhances product feel by absorbing higher frequency vibrations and offers up to 3x the vibration damping of glass and up to 20% more than carbon!
Flax is also an ecological option because it is plant-based rather than from fossil fuels.
It contains CO2 negative fiber and eco-resin that is worker and planet friendly.

This stabilizer features the AXCEL X-VIBE Vibration Dampener!
For a year, AXCEL's design team tested almost every stabilizer and vibration dampener on the market to see what works and what is hype.
They were then able to create bars and dampeners that would work better than anything currently available.
One of the most revolutionary products that came from that research is the AXCEL X-VIBE Vibration Dampener.
This dampener attaches to the outer diameter of the carbon rod and pinches rubber tight against the carbon with a 3 oz stainless steel weight to ensure spectacular shock absorption at the initial shot of the bow and throughout the remainder of the shot sequence.
The X-Vibe can slide the entire length of the carbon bar, so you can put the vibration damper where you want it.
However, our designers found the best results between three and four inches from the end of the stabilizer. The new X-VIBE comes standard with the AXCEL Acclaim 550 and Acclaim Aero 500 Stabilizers, but will be also be sold separately for addition to our CarboFlax 500 and 650 bars or any other bar in 0.500", 0.550" or 0.650" sizes.
