WOODEN ARROW SHAFT BUYING NOTICE
We are very fussy about our wooden shafts and are constantly trying to find better sources.
Our stock wooden shafts come from the top manufacturers in the USA and Europe and are used extensively around the world.
For a stock shaft, they are as good as they come.
But… this doesn't mean they are perfect. In fact, the quality varies from batch to batch. Some batches are excellent. Sometimes not. It is a fact that the quality varies, and it should be expected. That is the nature of the product.
Shafts are supplied to us without any guarantee of conformity and therefore we do not offer any guarantee of conformity to you.
Simply put, they are low cost, raw materials and we are a re-seller.
We say this not to discourage you from buying our shafts. We want you to buy our shafts! They are the best! We are saying this to give you realistic expectations of what it is we are selling.
For most archers, stock shafts are fine. But if you require a perfectly matched set of shafts for the ultimate set of arrows then the shafts need to be weight matched, spine matched and straightend by hand. Our pricing does not include hand selection and we currently do not offer this service for online sales.
If you intend to weigh and spine match your shafts we recomended you buy a box of 100. Then group that box into batches, and build multiple batches. There will be a difference between batches, but each batch will group. If you are serious about precision wooden arrows, that's how it’s always been done.
RETURNS AND REFUNDS OF WOODEN SHAFTS
We do accept returns for wooden shafts. If you are not happy with them, you can send them back for a refund. However, we would only accept the return of all the shafts ordered, not just the ones you don't want! :-)
Please also note that occasionally you may receive a shaft with a flaw, such as a knot or a crack. In situations like this, we will happily refund the faulty shaft. But it is not reasonable for us to be expected to ship out free of charge a single shaft as a replacement.
If you are planning to make your own arrows, please order a couple of spare shafts (and feathers). Then if you have an issue with a shaft it’s not the end of the world.
It’s a brave fletcher that orders the EXACT number of shafts and the EXACT number of feathers needed when making wooden arrows!
